SAS Institute opened in the Mexican capital the "Mexico City IoT Experience Center", opened in the first half of 2019, so that professionals from all industries can learn more about the technologies they are transforming Business: IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) through demonstrations of connected vehicles, advanced retail applications and other AR (Augmented Reality) projects.
The facility served for Big Data professionals, analysts and Data Scientists to benefit from learning more about SAS technology, the global leader in the Analytics market, but also so that local startups and SAS partners can take advantage of the co-working spaces of the SAS facility, waiting for the “IoT Lab” to become a pole of training and innovation.
Data professionals in Mexico can go to the “IoT Lab” in Mexico City to learn first-hand about SAS's powerful Analytical technology tools, such as SAS Analytics for IoT, made up of SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning, SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Event Stream Processing, solutions that allow huge volumes of data from devices, networks, applications to be analyzed with great speed, as well as data from all types of IoT devices.
In addition to this laboratory, SAS will open various specialized laboratories in the cities of Sao Paulo, Singapore, Sydney, Lisbon; and also in the town of Cary in North Carolina.
Additionally, SAS will establish a large IoT Innovation Center in China's Wuxi High-Tech Zone (one of the most relevant IoT smart city projects globally), which selected SAS as its strategic partner for Internet analytics in things (IoT).
